Thank you for your question!

The difference between an MMO and a system such as D&D is that D&D is a set of rules, guidelines, and suggestions that is highly customizable and can be adapted to a wide variety of different worlds and settings, requiring a high level of player input and world/quest creation; an MMO is a single established setting in which people use a character proxy, where giving the character a personality and backstory is completely optional and the player has no control over or effect on the setting aside from what is provided by the game's creator.

Regarding your second question, either of the options you suggested would be viable, depending on what you want to happen! While it would be more realistic for Lup to just regain her memories but keep her body, if you would prefer for her to be a ghost for a while before regaining her body, it could be handwaved as very high-tech science or magic. In the case of Lup losing her body and having a new one grown, I wouldn't charge you points for that, considering it is part of the canon update, but it's definitely possible.
