SHIFTING: Raven is a gravity shifter (a person capable of manipulating their own gravity field) and has a number of powers at her disposal. Her most fundamental skill is to shift gravity in any direction to float and fall, allowing her to "fly" and traverse all kinds of terrain including walls and ceilings. Her other abilities are:
GRAVITY SLIDE: By altering the gravity under her feet Raven is able to slide across the ground at high speed.
GRAVITY KICK: A spinning kick attack that uses the force of a fall from high altitude. Can deal multiple hits to an enemy.
STASIS FIELD: By emitting a stasis field Raven is able to pick up, carry and throw objects and people. By using her "Blue Jay" skill she can even create balls of energy to use as projectiles.
HIGH PRESSURE: Raven's special attack. The gravity in front of her is distorted, destroying any enemies caught in the distortion. (Rarely used.)
PHOENIX MODE: When things look decidedly grim and her normal skills just won't cut it Raven can combine her power with Xii to achieve "Phoenix Mode". While in this state her attack power is drastically increased and she is able to regain health. (Very rarely used.)
INCREASED RESISTANCE: While she's by no means indestructible Raven displays a superhuman level of resistance to most forms of damage, especially impact force. As such she's able to take most enemies head-on without fear of being killed instantly, survive falling from heights that would greatly harm or kill a normal person, and hit even the sturdiest foes with incredible force without the risk of broken bones.
XII: Not an ability per se, but Raven's crow-shaped Guardian and the source of her gravity powers. Aside from being able to do all the things a regular crow can and his cosmic appearance, he is capable of becoming incorporeal and teleporting to her side at will. If he is injured or ill the duration and effectiveness of Raven's abilities are greatly reduced. Additionally, if they are separated she is rendered unable shift.
COMBAT: Outside of the plethora of gravity powers granted by Xii, Raven is proficient in hand-to-hand combat.
● strengths:
LOYAL: Despite the aloof vibe she tends to give off, Raven's a kind and fiercely loyal woman. Even after Kat becomes a singularity Raven dedicates her life to the protection of Hekseville and Jirga Para Lhao's citizens in her stead. It certainly helps that she takes the time to actually get to know and care for the people she protects too; she's amassed a pretty active fanclub because of it!
SELFLESS: Raven is always the first to offer to act as a distraction to buy time enough to devise battle strategies and evacuate civilians. Whether she's up against an army or a freakishly mutated superhuman, she's willing to put her life on the line to give others a better chance at survival.
DETERMINED: Once she's got her mind set on a task Raven is like a dog with a bone. No matter how insurmountable the odds she stays focused on her goals (she kept fighting a demi-god even when her allies were dropping like flies), and doesn't falter.
● weaknesses:
LOYAL: While Raven's dedication is largely a force for good it can be (and has been) used to manipulate her. For example, in the first game D'Nelica promised to help her rescue the Lost Tribe if she prevented the missing parts of Hekseville from returning. Despite his questionable condition Raven went along with it to help the children, even going so far as to attack Kat for getting in the way by restoring the city.
DISTANT: Raven can be quite withdrawn, preferring to put on a brave face for others rather than burdening them with her true feelings. After losing Kat Raven struggles, feeling as though a part of herself had been ripped away. Instead of seeking support from her remaining allies she throws herself into work as Hekseville's new hero, lashing out at the few who call her out on the behaviour and brushing off offers of help.
TEMPER: Compared to the woman she was a couple of years ago, Raven's much less aggressive. That said, her newfound tolerance isn't boundless and if anyone harms her friends (or gets between her and a dessert she's been queuing for days to get...) she's got the potential to be just as ruthless as the old "crow girl" that used to strike fear into people's hearts.

[ The feed clicks on to a pretty impressive view from the top of a skyscraper. An upside down view, sure, but a view no less! It seems whoever's recording hadn't expected it to begin quite so soon, so the device has been relegated to an idle hand while they enjoy the scenery. ]
..the gravity engine keeping this place afloat must be huge.
[ There's a few conversational caws in reply before the lens is covered by what looks like the night's sky(!?), followed by a diligent tap-tap-tap. The camera is jostled away from the offending whateverthatwas before focusing on a young woman's slightly amused face. ]
So... I'm told we need to pull our weight around here if we want to get back home.
[ She's quiet for a moment, before regarding the camera with a faint smile -- excessive pep was never her strong suit. ]
I'm Raven. If you need any help with monsters or heavy lifting, just ask.

Even with Dusty and Xii's warning Raven hadn't been fast enough to avoid the darkness that spilled from the breach in Neu Hiraleon. Instead, both her and Cecie were engulfed by the gloom and pulled into the rift. The shifter had been walking through the abstract plane in search of an exit for a while, a weakened Cecie still in her arms, before she heard it. A robotic voice calling out to her:
"Hey, Raven."
It was hard to pin down exactly where the voice was coming from until Xii let out a warning cry. Turning to her Guardian's call she spotted a well-dressed man, his face obscured by a peculiar mask.
"Who are you?" she asked, tightening her grip on Cecie slightly. Average humans didn't last long alone in Rift Planes so her caution was warranted. Unsurprisingly the mysterious man shook his head -- Raven hadn't expected a straight answer from someone who wouldn't even show his face.
"You need to save Kat."
"Kat..?" To say his words caught her off guard would be an understatement. They had been separated in the ruins of Neu Hiraleon and, while both shifters were perfectly capable fighters alone, the fight to stop the old city from destroying Lei Havina had been hard fought. It wouldn't be too far of a stretch for an exhausted Kat to find herself in peril. "Where is she!?"
"There." he replied, turning to point behind him. As he swiped his finger down a rift formed following the motion. Raven frowned, still unsure of the enigmatic man. To say she trusted the pathway he'd created would be a lie, but she had yet to find another way out even in spite of all her wandering. That, coupled with the fact that Kat might be in danger was enough to prompt her towards the newly opened portal. Giving the stranger one last look as she approached, Raven adjusted her hold on Cecie to get a firmer grip, then leapt through into the unknown.
