character information
name: Lady Sif
canon: Marvel Cinematic universe
canon point: End of Agents of SHIELD episode "Who you really are"
age: Looks to be in her late twenties/earlie thirties, is over a thousand years old

(canon) background: here

abilities:

- Superhuman strength, Asgardians are much stronger than the average human. In an extended scene of Thor Volstagg is shown to lift a car, and Thor can hold his own pretty damn well against the Hulk. Loki throws humans around like they are toys basically. I’m assuming Sif is on a similar level since she is one of the strongest warriors of her generation.

- Superhuman durability, Sif can take quite the beating and withstand blows and falls that would severely injure or even kill an average human. This also goes together with similarly increased stamina, she does not get fatigued at the same speed as a human.

- Longevity, Asgardians live for thousands of years

- Superhuman speed – Sif can run much faster than most humans, though it’s not superhuman speed on the level of heroes like the Flash and more in the vein of Captain America. This one sort of goes with the ability to take great leaps, again rather similar to what we see Cap do.

- Increased healing – It would appear that their sturdy constitutions allow them to heal faster from injuries.

- Dense Tissue – Sif is rather a lot heavier than she looks, all part of that whole "Asgardians are built like brick shithouses" deal.

strengths:
Physically extremely proficient, her warrior training has lasted for centuries and she was always very driven to become the best of the best.
Brave, there is very few situations that Sif would ever run away from.
Intelligent, she might at times seem like just a fighting machine but she actually has a great deal of knowledge about many things
Loyal, she will stand by the people she serves or cares about through anything.

weaknesses:
Prone to using violence to solve problems, being as she is from a culture that places very high value on battle.
Stubborn to a fault, she can be very unyielding in her personality even if she is capable of compromise if she is given sufficient reasons for it.
Not the best at adapting when Asgardian methods fail
A bit on the emotionally constipated side, she isn't always the best at expressing herself beyond the rather stilted mannerisms of an Asgardian warrior.
Thor, just Thor. His entire existence has a very strong influence on her, sometimes for good and sometimes for ill.

job skills (optional): Excellent in combat, that's pretty much the only type of work she would accept doing I think.

housing (optional): No preference

[ The face staring the device down as if she is daring it to attack her belongs to what seems to be a fairly young woman, sharply angled face surrounded by thick, brown hair. Her large eyes seem to have to ability to bore a hole into someone's skull, if the intensity within them is to be believed. ]

I require a guide to make me familiar with this city.

[ She could just wander around on her own, but proud as she might be that would just be impractical. Better to get the lay of the land quickly. ]

prose/action sample:

Night was falling over Asgard, the quiet sounds of evening spreading through the city as families gathered in their homes to share meals and laughs. The training ground had grown increasingly silent during the day, and now it was becoming as it had been when Sif first arrived, empty and disturbed by nothing but her movements.

She’d spent the entire day there, flowing effortlessly through deadly dances with a wide variety of weapons, throwing opponents down into the dust over and over again as she made them all wear faces that were not their own in her mind. There was, for example, Loki, treacherous but dead and beyond any punishment she could give him, though in the end he had avoided bringing upon himself that which she had sworn to do should he attempt to betray his brother again. It would appear as his last act in this life may have been doing the right thing, something Sif still struggled to believe in spite of what she had been told by Thor.

Ah, Thor. In truth most of those who fought her on that day had to wear his face, for he too was beyond her reach, if in a different way.
He had explained why he thought he had to leave. He had explained how it all made sense to him but it still did not make any kind of sense to her. How could he serve Asgard better by being away from it? How was it better for anyone that he left his aging father to rule alone with no son there to take over after him?

How was it better to let Odin remain on the throne when his conduct during the struggle against Malekith had clearly shown that his judgment was no longer what it might once have been?

How were they supposed to rebuild the kingdom when it seemed to her as if its very heart had been torn from it?
She moved, unthinking, feet slapping the dirt with every firm step, her blade slicing through the air now with no one left to fight. Those who had homes had gone there, those who had families were with them.

She remained, fighting ghosts.
