Aspect of the Beast - When entering a rage, he can choose to turn into a half-wolf, half-man creature, losing the use of weapons, but gaining claw and bite attacks. While not raging, he has the ability to turn into a regular wolf, twice per day, and he can stay in that form for three hours at a time. Other than retaining his own intelligence and mind, he is otherwise a normal wolf, incapable of speaking and using anything that requires thumbs. He chooses whether the things he is carrying at the time merge into this form, or fall to the ground.

Speak with Animals - Cast as a ritual, he gains the ability to comprehend and verbally communicate with beasts for the duration. The animal retains its own intelligence, but can typically communicate basic information.
● strengths:
Leadership - Ryan is a natural leader, always ready and willing to take charge in any situation. He is always looking out for the safety of those "below" him and trying to find ways to encourage his teammates both in and out of battle. His sturdiness and proficiency with survival skills serve him on the physical front, as well, allowing him to guide his party through rough terrain, and allowing him to be the first to take a hit from any enemies they may come across.
Compassion - Though he often has trouble showing it in the traditional manner, Ryan is deeply compassionate towards the people he knows, and takes a shining to others easily. Even when he doesn't trust a person, he still feels concerned for their well-being. He does not typically write people off, and would rather support someone and try to help them, than write them off completely.
Adaptive - Ryan's pragmatic approach to most things makes him adaptable to most situations. He doesn't tend to dwell too long and goes with his gut instinct. He is confident in his abilities, and comfortable with letting things work themselves out in the long run. His straightforward mannerisms and self-confidence make it easy for him to ask for help when he needs it, and he makes an earnest attempt to pick up on any new situation he's flung into. He also takes well to local customs and social norms, so long as they are not directly harmful, and will make a sincere effort to integrate into the societies he passes through. For example, he will happily join in a ceremony dedicated to Eldath, goddess of peace, even though he personally does not worship her.
● weaknesses:
Impulsive - Ryan has difficulty containing his temper under duress, and his confidence can lead to making rash decisions. Combined with his straightforward approach to most things, and it can have disastrous effects. His impulses have turned situations from ones that could be solved relatively peacefully, into ones that escalate to combat and even death. He's also prone to speak before he thinks; while it can be humorous at times, it can also be hurtful, when he doesn't stop to think about whether his wording is as sensitive as he thinks it is.
Hyperfocused - When Ryan really sets his mind to something, he will hyperfocus on it until he completes it, or at least comes to some other satisfactory end. While it's merely a bad habit when he's focusing on something like sharpening his weapon, or weaving a bracelet, it can become harmful when he focuses on a long-term goal to the exclusion of all else. He will keep moving towards his goal and only allow himself to be distracted by the necessities, and nothing else. Not only has it caused friction with his current adventuring party, but he has hurt the people in his past by refusing to follow his heart and stray from his quest to find his father.
Rage - An unspoken quality of any Barbarian, although Ryan is amicable and generally well-meaning, a well of rage bubbles beneath the surface. Although it often manifests for otherwise altruistic reasons, it can be dangerous both to himself and those he cares about, both physically and mentally. He needs to be careful to keep it in check, and only harness it when needed.
● job skills: Ryan would say he's strong/a good fighter, but he is also good with animals and children, and has a passion for nature. ● housing: no preference

Hello. I found this image and it seemed like an interesting question to pose to everyone.
I would be interested in knowing what your name would be, and if you feel any connection to it. Mine doesn't resonate very much, but I guess that's because my name is... already my name.
Honest answers only. I think this is a good opportunity to get to know some of you better.
