● abilities: Through direct skin-to-object contact, Remy can activate the potential energy contained within an object and convert it to kinetic energy explosively. He can control the timing and intensity if these explosions as well. Because of his unique body chemistry, his body always generates an abundance of kinetic energy, leaving his thoughts sounding like garbled static to telepaths. His abilities also give him heightened reflexes and agility. His influence over the energy in organic matter, such as humans, manifests is a sort of charm. It's very subtle, but Remy can influence the tendencies of others, making them more likely to agree with whatever he's saying. This influence isn't foolproof, though, and is subtle enough to be rendered completely unusable when someone knows it exists.
● strengths: Remy is confident and calm under pressure, which allows him to coolly evaluate a situation without making any rash decisions based around his anger. He's smooth and charismatic which allows him to gather information without using brute force, and forge alliances where others might fail. He has faith in the character of others, which allows him to trust others in high-pressure situations, and believes supporting the strengths of his friends is the best way to help them better themselves. He's highly adaptable to various situations and able to improvise believably when he doesn't actually possess the knowledge needed, lending him credibility in several different fields of expertise, or at least giving him the ability to pretend well enough to pass a cursory evaluation. Unlike many mutants, Remy sees people as individuals, rarely bothering to discern between "human" and "mutant", which leaves him more open-minded to alliances and willing to go out on a limb for anyone, regardless of who they may be, and where their allegiances may lie. While his moral compass doesn't always align with what is legal, it is strong, and he's will to risk just about anything to protect the innocent, or help someone indeed.
● weaknesses: While cool and collected, once an idea has occurred to him as to what would work in a given situation, he rarely plans it out in advance, opting instead to rush off into the situation and rely on adapting the plan as the event unfolds, which has nearly lead to his death on more than one occasion. He's a self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie who will opt for a 'just for thrills' outing of questionable legal integrity because it "seemed like a good idea at the time". Remy is still haunted by the very bad decisions he made when he was younger that led to the love of his life abandoning him in a frozen wasteland. His life since then has been, amid trying to remember who he really is, trying to be worthy of the love he feels for Rogue. While he fights to preserve the lives and rights of mutants, and to inspire their students as well as protect the world he calls home, he often wonders if those efforts mean anything to those he calls his family (if dysfunctional), and it's that self-doubt that leads to the extreme lengths he's willing to go to protect others and to save the day (sometimes even when it doesn't want to be saved). While he usually has the best of intentions, things like "legal" and "illegal" mean little to him if it means getting the information he needs to help someone or get a mission done, though he'd never stoop to out-and-out murder (he's a thief, not an assassin), but that moral grey area keeps him at odds with the more morally sound members of the superhero community.
● job skills: Speaks several languages, has taught middle and high-school aged students (English classes mostly). Working knowledge of advanced security systems. Can fly a jet. Has worked on combat teams. Highly adaptable. Hand-to-hand combatant, marksmanship, acrobatics, extensive knowledge of gambling and card games. Card tricks (is that a job skill?)

Bonjour, mes amis. How's the Quarantine today, eh? I got to say, for a post-apocalyptic society, they sho 'nuff know how t' party, non? It's enough t' make a Cajun homesick.
Got me t' thinkin', too. They're all about community, right? How 'bout we throw a little party of our own, eh? A good, down-home potluck? Who don't like food, eh?
