(original) world: (WARNINGS: Violence, suicidal thoughts, rape, depression, drug use, self harm, child abuse, domestic abuse, torture/mutilation, Iunno everything that could make someone uncomfortable?)

THE ACTUAL HISTORY IS RIGHT HERE

abilities:
- Teleportation: He can teleport up to 10 feet in any direction, as long as he has the energy and some room to land. This can be stacked, but he gets easily tired out by teleportation and needs a breather if he goes too far too quickly. He can move through walls during teleportation, and as time effectively slows to a halt for him while teleporting he can place himself with extreme accuracy. Teleportation causes a loud popping noise, as well as a flash of sparks moving vaguely in the direction he went in, so it isn't particularly stealthy.
- Fire: This includes manipulation of his body temperature, fire resistance, lighting his fingertips on fire or throwing fireballs roughly the size of a fist. While he can set other parts of his body on fire, that's not particularly useful and it's unlikely to. Mostly, he uses it to light cigarettes.
- Invisibility: Usually as a fear response, he can turn invisible at will and it takes relatively little energy. However, it doesn't stop him from making noise and all of his other powers draw attention to him while invisible. His clothing turns invisible with him, but his fire does not, and neither does anything he's holding. Generally it works on Rule of Cool (ie, plot convenience).
- Strength: He's strong enough to lift an average-sized car, and would probably be able to lift a truck with a bit of effort. He has finely tuned control over this to avoid hurting others unless he wants to, but.. he tends to want to.
- Mundane abilities: He can ride a motorcycle, play guitar, juggle up to three objects and sing. He's a decent dancer, but most comfortable dancing with a partner. He has approximate knowledge of botany and chemistry, and extensive first-hand knowledge of human biology. Because he's terrible.

strengths:
- Cautious: He has a knack for planning to avoid being caught off-guard. He dislikes being on the receiving end of surprise, and as much as he loves senseless violence he likes to make sure it happens on his terms. He's likely to put a lot of effort into building the defenses around the city, and hunting monsters around the perimeter. Though, to be fair, this is generally for the benefit of himself. He rarely worries about the greater good.
- Resourceful: Along with not being particularly picky about living conditions or food, he has a knack for taking what he's given and making the best of it. If anyone is willing to listen to him, he can manage them well according to their particular strengths. If he's stuck on his own, he's very good at managing his time and figuring out where to find what he needs. The worse a situation he's in, the more serious he becomes about not only fixing it, but making sure to get the best objective outcome for everyone involved.
- Good with kids: Dodger has a soft spot for children, and strives to be a good paternal figure despite his otherwise distasteful personality. He still swears like a sailor around kids, but he'll be happy to teach them about weapon safety and political ideals, and responds with very thinly veiled joy when the opportunity arises to pick a kid up or get a hug from them. And while he doesn't understand kid's shows at all, he's happy to listen to kids ramble about them. This sort of applies to young women, too; feminine women instill a strong sense of protectiveness in him, and while he may come off as misogynistic (because he is) he's happy to protect those he perceives as defenseless.
weaknesses:
- Selfish: Dodger calls himself an objectivist. When making decisions, he'll generally lean toward whichever gives the best result for himself. He takes care to make deals that are nearly equal, but slightly tipped in his favor, and if someone expects him to set aside his safety to save someone else without a reward they can also expect to be disappointed. He isn't above sacrificing his friends for his own benefit. Give him enough money and he'd sell his best friend into slavery. He draws the line at hurting children, but even that is negotiable... his only hard limit is his own child.
- Psychotic:Really an understatement; Dodger has an endless source of rage boiling very close to the surface. While he usually suppresses it with alcohol and drugs, he's very quick to turn to violence when something annoys him. His anger often erupts without warning; he's been known to smash a glass over someone's head just for asking how he's doing. Even without rage, Dodger's got a few screws loose and really isn't against things like cannibalism and mutilation just to satisfy some freak version of curiosity. While that part of him is under pretty tight control, if he has an opportunity to torture someone without too many long-term consequences he tends to really go to town with it.
- Depressed:The aggression is really just a stress response at its core. Dodger spends a lot of time self-medicating, but refuses therapy because he feels a strong attachment to his depression as a part of himself. Dodger has tried to kill himself before, and will likely try again. He has no close attachments, many bad memories and a generally low sense of self-worth, so convincing him to stay alive is... an uphill climb, at best.

skills (optional):
- He has exceptional strength and endurance, so he's good for physical labor.
- He's essentially a killing machine with very little regard for danger, making him a very efficient guard (though taking orders is a weak point for him).
- He's a good mechanic, with a specialty in motorcycles. He's also pretty decent at fixing up other things.
- He is pretty much completely amoral, and willing to do anything legal or otherwise to get money.

housing (optional): For the comfort of other characters (and their players), it may be best to give him a private room. He's not a very good roommate.
