● abilities:

» MODIFICATIONS: There are a number of physical implants and modifications that have been made to Gamora, courtesy of Thanos. These include a CYBERNETIC SKELETON, OCULAR AND RESPIRATORY IMPLANTS, and a BIOAUGMENTED HEALING FACTOR. The cybernetics make her far more durable than what was already natural for her species, while the implants in her eyes and lungs allow for enhanced vision and respiratory functions, respectively. The healing factor allows her to recover from injuries and infections incredibly quickly, though more extensive damage will take notable time.

» ALIEN PHYSIOLOGY: Gamora is a Zehoberei, who naturally possess strength, speed, and durability that surpasses the average human. Her nervous system is also much more developed, and this gives her a higher sensory perception than other species. She also has two livers, which filter toxins (including alcohol) through her system at a faster rate.

» COMBAT TRAINING: Gamora has lived most of her life being constantly trained to be a master combatant. She's skilled with both hand-to-hand techniques and many varied weapons.

» WEAPONS MASTERY + MARKSMANSHIP: As mentioned above, Gamora has been training for years to reach peak performance with all manner of weaponry. Her preference is her sword, Godslayer, but she's also highly proficient with guns, knives, and whatever she may have on hand.

● strengths:

» COURAGEOUS: Gamora is flat-out incredibly brave. She will risk her life for the other Guardians and throw herself into a situation if it means saving someone she cares about (or, in general, to do the right thing). She's confident in herself and her abilities, and that translates into her willingness to face challenges head-on.

» COMPASSIONATE: Though she often presents herself as someone unmovable and uncaring, Gamora is kind. She cares a great deal for her friends, but she's also willing to care for strangers and innocents. She has a big heart, and she'll go out of her way for the people she loves (but also probably stab anyone who actually tries to expose how very much she cares).

» HONORABLE: Gamora values honor, and though her own ethics may seem grey at times, she has a moral code that she adheres to, now that she has the chance to make her own decisions in life.

» INDEPENDENT: Though Gamora sees the value in teamwork and collaborates well with the other Guardians, she's also fiercely determined to exercise her own freedoms. She is discovering what it means to be her own person, rather than a weapon or a tool at someone else's disposal, and that's important to her.

» STUBBORN: Gamora has an iron will, and while she's the type to stick to her guns, that can often mean she's uncompromising or reluctant to see others' viewpoints. She will argue and question and intimidate, because if she thinks she's right, it's hard to make her budge.

» RUTHLESS: There is little room for mercy when Gamora is determined to kill or maim someone. She's brutal when she fights, and she isn't afraid to take a life — though she's far more discerning about it than she was while under Thanos's control. She doesn't like collateral damage, but her aggression and tendency to defer to violence isn't exactly the best approach.

» ABRASIVE: Gamora is blunt almost to a fault, and her harsh responses to others come more easily than they probably should. She doesn't spare feelings for the sake of flattery, and she's likely to be forthright and a little too honest. She doesn't trust easily, and she'll make sure you know it.
