Botanists have discovered that the group of trees is connected at the roots as one entity, and may have some level of sentience, and the Environmental Committee is concerned that the cleanup of the Amusement Park might result in the trees being uprooted before they can be examined or communicated with. Additionally, there is some concern that the moss growing on them may be a parasitic species, also possibly with some level of sentience.
