riverview: applications

applications: open

Applications will be open from 10:00 PM EST on the 1st of every month until 10:00 PM on the 7th of every month. They will be processed as quickly as possible after they are submitted; if you have not received a response by the 10th of the month, feel free to contact the mod.

Applications will be open from October 1st until December 7th, and will be processed on a first-come first-served basis.

● Please post the entirety of your application in a comment to this entry.

Applications may receive a verdict of Approved, Declined, or Revisions.

Declined applications can be reworked and resubmitted during the next application cycle. If an application is declined 3 times, it cannot be resubmitted.
Revisions must be submitted within 48 hours of the revision request being sent out. If this is impossible due to extenuating circumstances, please contact the mod.

● There are currently 58 Character Slots still available in the game.

● While the game is close to character cap, reserved applications will be processed before unreserved applications, with unreserved applications being processed at the end of the cycle until cap is reached.

Application Queue: All applications that would put the game over character cap will be placed in the queue below and processed on a first-come-first-serve basis. Applications in queue will be processed as drops happen, regardless of whether the application cycle is complete.

● Casts at or close to Cast Cap: Marvel Cinematic Universe: 15/15; Marvel Comics: 12/15

application guide

● Accepted character types: fandom, original, canon AU
● Non-accepted character types: fandom OC, AU
● The character limit is 2, with 2 apps allowed per month; players can buy up to a maximum of 4 character slots with AC bonus points. There is a cast cap of 15 characters per cast at this time.
● Linked samples should be no older than 1 year.
● Application challenges are not allowed at this time, but if you would like to apply for a character that is on reserve, please submit the application with "not reserved" noted in the subject line, and your application will be considered if the reserved application is declined or not turned in.

CLARIFICATION ADDED 04/02/2017: Applications must fit in ONE COMMENT on the application page. In special situations such as original characters or canon characters without an information link, please try to keep the summary concise and stick to major turning points. If you have been as concise as possible and it absolutely will not fit in one comment, please store the background section in an entry on your journal/musebox/website and link it to keep the application within one comment.

CLARIFICATION ADDED 02/03/2018: The Strengths and Weaknesses sections are a stand-in for the usual personality section and should relate to the character's personality strengths and weaknesses. These sections should not include anything related to abilities and the weaknesses should not be 'positives in disguise' (for example, stating that a character has a weakness to iron because they are a fairy would not be an acceptable response to the weaknesses section, nor would stating that a character is too generous). Every character has good and bad personality traits, please include both.

CLARIFICATION ADDED 03/10/2018: Linked samples must be from a publicly available source. Friends-locked samples are not acceptable for use (via screencaps or other methods), unless they have been unlocked and made public.

● A mod-created sample application can be found here. This is an example of a canon application. The strengths section has been filled out in bullet point form, and the weaknesses have been filled out in paragraph form - both options or a combination thereof are acceptable.

Ray Palmer ● DCTV: The Arrow ● Reserved

player information

age: Late 20s!

other characters: n/a

character information
name: Dr. Raymond Palmer (please, call him Ray)
canon: DCTV: The Arrow
canon point: End of Arrow Season 4, Before Legends of Tomorrow S1
age: 35

(canon) background: Ray Palmer on Arrowverse Wiki

abilities:

A full list of Ray's abilities. Since I am taking Ray from an earlier canon point however, the items I would remove from that wiki page are "Skilled swordsman" and everything listed under "former equipment." Ray also has tiny microscopic nano-bots in his bloodstream and his suit (his design), both of which is what allows him to shrink to the size of a french fry without suffering side effects.

Ray is also the creator and owner of the A.T.O.M. Exosuit. See the full list of functions here.

strengths:

If there's one thing that defines Ray, it's that he's always seeing the best in people. He's a bright, vibrant human being who is full of life, and he always likes to give others the benefit of the doubt. He isn't afraid of conflict and he doesn't avoid it, but he does forgive people very quickly. While he built his company on his own, he loves to collaborate with others — whether it's through super hero team ups, or just bringing a community together to help make their city better.

Ray also never gives up. At this canon point, Ray is forced to reckon with the fact that after the world thought he'd died, he has left behind no positive change in the world, despite everything he's worked towards. But instead of giving up, or wallowing in self-pity, he's talking a step back to re-assess, and to think about what he should be doing in his life differently.

He's able to let things go. While most people who build a billion-dollar company from scratch would think twice before giving it to someone else, Ray doesn't. Even in his day to day life, he's rich, but he's not materialistic. Even when he does own expensive things, such as art, he shares what he has with the public, by having the pieces on rotation at the local museum.

Finally, this is a strength and a weakness, but when it comes to ethical decision-making, Ray follows the rules. He's an eagle scout through and through, so he doesn't cheat, scam or swindle. Even when he's presented with easy opportunities to do something morally bad, Ray never considers it.

weaknesses:

Ray is impulsive and it tends to get him into situations that he's not personally ready for. Like kissing a woman when he intends for the night to be strictly platonic. Or jumping into his suit as soon as it's functional, thinking that it will protect him in a dangerous situation, when he clearly needs more training and experience. When it comes to his superhero work and trying to do good in the world, this weakness leads Ray to make poor choices that, without his friends, would have easily gotten him killed.

He's drawn to helping people, but while Ray is extremely smart, he's also over enthusiastic, usually to the detriment of himself and those around him. When he's excited about someone, his behavior can come off as stalkerish. If he's excited about a project, he'll work on it for days without leaving his apartment or communicating with a human being.

Emotionally, he's also fighting two conflicting forces. On the one hand, Ray is an extremely committed person, but on the other hand, he doesn't expect the people he's committed to to stick around. So when it comes to emotional health and well-being, Ray is exceptionally prone to abuse. He doesn't play games when it comes to love or friendship, and he doesn't mind other people usually having the "upper hand" in a relationship, because he's so open with how he feels. Plus, once Ray cares about someone, unless you turn out to be a super villain (and maybe even then), Ray can't take his feelings back. He'll always care, and he'll always try to stay friends, even if how he feels blinds him to the reality of a situation.

skills (optional): mechanical and chemical engineer and molecular physicist (4 PhDs! what a guy), inventor, hacker/programmer, skilled businessman (successfully led a billion dollar company)

housing (optional): shared

network username: r.palmer

network sample:

[ The video feed flips on,and Ray's looking right at the camera. His grin is wide and genuine in a way that makes the typical viewer wonder if it's freeing, to wear such honest emotion on your face without any kind of mask. When he starts to speak, his voice is full of energy, though it does sound like maybe he's a little stuffed up at the moment. But if something's affecting Ray, it doesn't seem to have any dampening effect on his enthusiasm.

One might compare the friendly disposition of Ray Palmer to that of a puppy. Tomato, tomahtoe, really. ]

Hi everyone! I'm Ray. [ He waves, with the hand that isn't holding up his phone. ] It's a pleasure to meet all of you- or, well, you know, to have all of you meet me, since uh, it's not exactly like I can see you. [ That beautiful grin transforms into a chuckle before his eyes grow wide and his mouth opens for a second, like he's about to sneeze, but it passes. ]

Anyways, I was wondering. Does thiiiiis- [ The camera turns downwards, where there is a small cat, stretched out on the floor, with her tail swooshing slowly from side to side. ] -little guy belong to anyone? She- he? followed me home and I'm um ...

[ Apologetic — that's how he suddenly looks, and feels. ]

I'm afraid I'm allergic.

Thank you! This will be the journal I'm using.

Also, I wanted to clarify one thing. I'd listed a preference for shared housing, but was assigned communal. If you actively decided to put him in communal, that's 100% okay by me, but I wanted to make sure that it wasn't a mistake!

And yes Ray will love that job. And working with Tony.

character information
name: Ivar "The Boneless" Ragnarsson
canon: Vikings
canon point: Post 4.18
age: 16

(canon) background: Here!
(original) world: N/A

abilities: Ivar has immense upper body strength from literally crawling around most of his life. According to showrunners, he has brittle bone syndrome, so in order to get around, he's either got to move himself using only his arms, or wait around for someone willing to carry him. Being without the use of his legs didn't keep him from learning how to wield weapons and he's shown to actually be better at archery and with a throwing ax than three of his brothers. He can also wield a sword well enough to end in a tied draw with one of them too. He's very intelligent, and despite being young, can devise military strategies good enough to win battles.

strengths: One of Ivar's greatest strengths is that he's very intelligent. Whereas most other Vikings are all about just attacking something until they knock it down, he'll be the one looking around for a battering ram instead. Being somewhat immobile means he has more time to think and figure out both how people and things work. He's very good at this and even his brothers take note of his skill at figuring out battlefield strategies.

Ivar is also extremely loyal to those he cares about. There aren't many that fall into this category, but the love he feels for his mother and father are a great motivator for him for most of the series. When he finds out his mother is dead, he challenges her killer to single combat, even though it might mean his own death. When that doesn't work, he plots with Ubbe, his older brother, to bring her down, even though they know their oldest brother Bjorn will try to stop them. When his father dies, Ivar works with his brothers, with whom he doesn't always have the best of relationships, purely because he wants revenge as badly as they do. He wants to avenge the death of the only man who ever believed in him, and before all the gods, he'll get it if he has to raze all of England to do so.

The last good trait Ivar has is his determination. Other people in that particular time period and in his position, in his own words of being "a cripple and a reject", might have just wallowed in self-pity. Ivar decided early on that not only was he going to be a true Viking, but he was actually going to be better than others at certain things. That's why he works so hard to learn combat weapons and to be smarter than everyone else around him. He figures if he does all this, people will respect and fear him. Even if he can't be physically the same as everyone, he can still be great. All he needs to do is be pointed in the right direction and he'll let nothing stop him from achieving his goals.

weaknesses: One of Ivar's worst qualities, by his own admission, is his anger. While it might be a good quality for a Viking warrior to have, it does make it hard to form meaningful relationships. He's got a huge chip on his shoulder. Everyone he meets is someone he expects to not take him seriously, pity him, or talk down to him because of his physical problems. Therefore, everyone is a potential enemy rather than friend. His anger runs in two forms: either the temporary white hot fury that will be discussed in the impulsive section or the slow burning kind that makes him hold onto grudges until the end of time. Both tend to get him into trouble.

The second bad quality is that he's quite literally psychopathic. There's just something a little bit wrong with him emotionally. Even as a small child of no more than five or six, he impulsively kills another boy because he was frustrated over a game they were playing. He doesn't react to things appropriately, laughing when his niece dies, and not caring about the slaughter of the Vikings in Wessex. He flat out admits he likes killing far more than even the warrior society he's surrounded by does. Between his anger and his cold, uncaring nature, even his brothers, whom he does love to some degree, are rightfully afraid of him.

The last weakness he has is being impulsive. Caused partially by the two qualities above, Ivar is extremely impulsive when he gets upset or angry. Even as a young boy, this caused someone's death. As an adult, he makes several attempts on his brother Sigurd's life because of a feud between them, before finally succeeding. Immediately after, he looks shocked and sorry, but taking a life can't be undone. Neither can the occasional cruel, biting things he says out of anger.

skills (optional): He can fight, despite his disability, and has a good mind for strategy. He can also be very loyal if properly motivated.
housing (optional): Communal housing, por favor!

network username: the boneless

network sample: [It's clear whoever is using this device is unused to it. The picture shifts around for a few minutes, and Ivar's face furrowed in concentration is seen several times before he finally realizes that it's on. He points it outward, showing that he's in the kitchen, seated on a chair. His voice, when he speaks, has a vaguely European accent.] I have figured out what these do.

[He shows in turn the fridge, the sink, and the stove. The last one had caused a few burnt fingers, but hey, he'll survive.] But I still have no idea what this does. [He turns the device to the microwave. He's been playing around with the buttons, and while he's been able to turn it on, he hasn't yet realized food is supposed to go inside of it.] Anyone care to enlighten me?

prose/action sample: He didn't really trust any of the people he was sleeping in this communal room with. Ivar had the bad habit of viewing everyone around him with suspicion and anger. He always suspected the worst of people. After all, what did they see him as? A cripple, someone to be pitied, someone who was lesser than they were just by virtue of not having use of his legs. It didn't matter that they probably didn't, this was what his own anger-fueled mind had come up with. He would need to prove to them that he could do whatever they could.

As he lay there in bed, his sleeping mind turned to the past. Once again, he was in battle in England, for once an equal as he was able to fight alongside the other Vikings. No one had pitied him that day as he hacked away at the soldiers that made up King Aelle's force. His body twitched a little in old remembrances of the battlefield. The memory was vivid enough that when one of his roommates entered, his eyes snapped open, and he threw the ax propped up against his bed without thinking.

As he blinked and became fully awake, he noticed their goggle-eyed expression. Huh. He was getting sloppy. That throw should have taken off an ear. Instead, the ax was embedded in the wall next to their head. Ivar didn't offer an apology as he slid off the bed, dragging himself over to the wall to remove the ax. That was going to leave a dent.

player information
name: Levy
age: 27

other characters: N/A

character information
name: Shigeru Miyata
canon: Original Character
canon point: Just as he and Alex are taking up their undercover role as teachers at Leuben’s university
age: 28

(original) world:

Before we delve into Shigeru’s history it’s better to talk about his world first. In Shigeru’s world, named Kasuitiga there are beings known as Phrobiests. Phrobiesits are human beings with supernatural powers linked to specific phobias. Each phobia depicts what their power is. So people who are Acrophobic (fear of heights) can bend and manipulate their height or the heights of other things. Each Phrobiest is born from a cursed family and given the highest foundation of education and life. However being cursed makes them social outcasts in the world. Many children of the Phrobiest families face challenges in their youth and for the rest of their lives. Most Phrobiests are secluded to a main academy, which is a boarding school for Phrobiests and their families. Despite being protectors of the planet they are still regarded as freaks of nature and inhuman to most of the general public. There are select islands, which are to colonize and help Phrobiests acclimate to society more. People willing to interact with them usually live on these islands for a period of time while receiving funding from their governments in order to do so.

Phrobiest exist to protect the world from creatures known as Valkierins, which are otherworldly beings that spawn from the fallen dark god’s blood, Malneminous. Malneminous is the name of said god and it is also the god who cursed the families of the Phrobiests into what they are today. Malneminous defeated by the god of light and several human beings back in the old days is now gone. As punishment for not siding with him he cursed those several humans and created what the void lands, or the lands where he was felled and defeated. The void lands are riddle with monsters and demons and all sorts of terrible creatures, which spawned from Malneminous after his defeat.

Shigeru is the only child of the current head of family, Seiji and Chisuzu Miyata, both parents are Phrobiests of the mysophobic lineage. Shigeru’s life after ten was filled with loneliness to the point where he almost gave up on forming any sort of bonds and relationships with the people around him. Seeing the state that Shigeru was in, his parents sent him to a mental facility on the island of Goestia, which is basically a mental facility to help ailing phrobiest children. He was 11 years old when he went there and met a kindred spirit, Alex Nier. However while there a group of anti-phrobiest terrorists attacked Goestia triggering an event in Shigeru called the Negative Gate phenomenon, which would continue to occur in phrobiest’s throughout the world for the foreseeable future. In trying to erase Shigeru’s memories of the event doctor’s damaged the Broca section of his brain with a device implanted there to keep track of when/if he would lose control of himself again, due to this he could no longer speak after he left Goestia.

A pioneer in the drug industry cropped up between the time Shigeru finished highschool and entered college, it was a company called Helthesta. The drug that they were testing would ultimately calm and ease the effects that phrobiests encountered in their daily lives and usage of their powers. One of the first chosen to take the drug was Shigeru himself.

However beneath the facade Helthesta was helping Sweepers to harness superhuman capabilities via injections. These enhanced super humans would be known as Destroyers, and they formed several groups that would perform attacks on high ranking Phrobiests throughout the planet. These injections were actually made from the serum of Phrobiests who have been kidnapped. Mostly it’s been children and adults who are homeless or without families for one reason or another, people that most would not care about had they disappeared. But news is spreading throughout the underground that there is a drug that will make Phrobiests obsolete and unneeded anymore.

Upon following rumors of normal college students and phrobiest college students being kidnapped by Sweepers Shigeru and Alex trail the group of Sweepers committing the act to an abandoned warehouse owned by a man named Jern, who was once a phrobiest doctor, now gone rouge he preforms experiments on people for Helthesta. Caught spying Shigeru and Alex are tortured until a group of pro-phrobiest agents save them both. Alex and Shigeru eventually join said group and their first mission occurs 7 years later.

Their first mission is at an abandoned mansion owned by a woman named Slevetla Frenski. Jern is there as conducting hideous experiments on the children within the area, Alex and Shigeru go to find said children while the other two agents, Klein and Shuu, go to find Slevetla and Jern. Jern kills Klein and injures Alex, causing Shigeru to lose control of his gate. After they escape, without getting Jern once again, Shigeru falls into a deep depression, due to being unable to protect Klein and for his phobia getting in the way again. He along with Shuu take a vacation at Alex’s family’s island of Vaxenti.

However another mission crops up at the city of Lueben where they remain undercover as professors at a college there tracking a man named Horus, said to be dealing pharmaceuticals on the black market.

abilities:

Shigeru's powers deal with manipulating particles on the subatomic level. His gate is always showing when he uses his powers as well. Along with that gates are also able to store objects, as they exist in a space outside the physical plane people inhabit. Shigeru's weapons Valent and Xevrant are stored in said space.

Tracing: This power basically allows Shigeru to assign colors to a person's body. When people touch things they leave a 'trace' its akin to a bacterial hand print you could say. Tracing eyes allows Shigeru to see that said hand print and he can follow and see those prints as glowing patches of light.

Recombination: Basically with this ability Shigeru can take a part of his body and self heal. The restoration takes however long depending on the wound inflicted. A small cut takes seconds to heal. While a broken bone can take up to an hour to heal. He can even regrow limbs, however that process is painful and it often takes weeks to complete.

Decomposition: He can also breakdown something Decomposition) and reform it. However he can't reform something larger than what he breaks down. For instance he can't break down a pistol and then reform it into a machine gun. He can reform into a smaller gun though, or something of equal mass. In terms of reforming his own body he can make his bones stronger if they're broken, like a typical progression of breaking a bone, but he can't make them stronger than say like steel or something outrageous like that. As stated he can decompose things and break them down into their basic atoms. Depending on how complex the object is it can take from a second to several hours to break down. A bullet, for instance, can take a second to disintegrate. While a gun would take a little over a minute to breakdown fully. He can break things down in small batches and that's typically how they're taught to do things. In terms of decomposing organic things he can breakdown skin, muscle, bone and tissues as well.

Antidote: As the name suggest Shigeru can cure people/himself of foreign poisons and objects. It's a simple procedure of breaking down the foreign bodies until they're no longer a threat.

Negative Gate: This is a dangerous ability and Shigeru will never actually use it (unless he’s traumatized and goes crazy). Basically the powers of the negative gate are like a living black hole. Since it's basically the dark god seeping out through a gate. The effects are basically a black mass made of red eyes erupts around Shigeru. Black tentacles with eyes will sprout from said black mass and start disintegrating whatever they touch. Shigeru becomes berserk and loses control of himself, attacking anyone and anything in his path. Being knocked out or killed is the only way to stop him.

Lasting effects of the negative gate are: where ever the negative gate opens a black stain will remain on the earth and nothing will ever be able to grow there again. The stain also gives off a powerful miasma, which is poisonous to all living things. Also when it appears it usually disintegrates a large portion of land around it leaving a crater behind.

strengths:

Strong willed – Despite all of his hardships and trying to beat his phobia Shigeru is rather strong in that he continuously fight on, despite his all his mental and social hang ups. Whereas many would have given up, Shigeru continues to push himself to his limits and tries to better himself.

Open minded – Shigeru is rather inquisitive by nature, given the fact that he’s never seen many things in the world as a whole. But he knows what it feels like to be ostracized and hated for so he never wants anyone to feel that way, especially by his own doing.

Protective – His past failures with Klein and Alex make him extremely protective of his friends and family. Knowing that his body self-heals allows him to make crazy and otherwise life endangering moves. He sees himself almost as a shield for most so he will do whatever it takes to keep them safe.

weaknesses:

Self-sacrificing – coupled with his protectiveness, Shigeru is pretty self-sacrificing due to his powers and just the mentality his has. He will always give it his all regardless of the dangers involved with doing so.

Self-deprecating – Shigeru is not very kind to himself because he holds himself at such a high level. His thoughts, when he fails to overcome his phobia, are extremely self-destructive at best. He hates when he can’t fight back and is unable to help due to his mental state and will often fall into depression rather easily.

Naïve - Not seeing much of the world has made him almost child-like in how he views certain things. Shigeru is pretty naïve because of this and it shows when he doesn’t understand simple social norms or things that most people know.

skills (optional):

Eidetic memory – Shigeru can remember things upon seeing/reading them only once.

Cooking – Given how he hates eating food he hasn’t prepared Shigeru is a very talented chef.

housing (optional):
Throw him where ever!

As an elf, he also has night vision and a resistance to magically induced sleep.

I'm also going to include a list of his items in this section since a lot of them are magical, even if they're mostly on his person at all times. I'm happy to nix some of these (e.g., the pocket spa) since like, there's a lot of shit in there, though I'd definitely like to at least keep the Umbra Staff & Bracer of Balance.

strengths:

Loyalty: It takes a lot for Taako to get to the point of loyalty, but once he's there, it's ride or die and he's willing to sacrifice a lot to help his friends, including his life force and beauty, the latter of which is incredibly important to him. As a wizard, he's very vulnerable to damage when they go out in the field, but he's still there anyway, helping Magnus and Merle, despite the great risk to his own safety. This extends to lying to help people out, or doing other potentially shady things if a friend asks for it.

Creative: Taako calls himself stupid, but as a wizard a lot of his strength relies on using his magic in a way that benefits his team and finishes a fight as quickly as possible. He'll often use non-typical spells or use them in non-typical ways to give himself and his team an edge in fights. This also applies to the rest of his life as well; he's good at finding creative solutions to even mundane problems, or solving puzzles that aren't fight oriented.

Gentle: Like the loyalty thing, moments of Taako being gentle are rare and hard earned, but he can show occasional kindness to people that goes beyond just being polite/nice, and that doesn't have any purpose except trying to help or comfort someone he cares about. When Magnus is offered a chance to let go of his quest for revenge, Taako encourages it to take it and move on with his life, knowing that finding peace would mean the world to Magnus. He's gentle with Hurley when she's scared of losing her girlfriend, and cares about Angus way more than he'd ever admit.

weaknesses:
Selfish: Growing up alone from age 12 onwards means that Taako had to look out for number one, and number one only, not letting himself form attachments or get close to anyone else, because it was too risky, and this habit has not only stuck but been reinforced throughout his life. Although he's getting better, Taako still has problems letting people close and caring about them, or allowing them to care about him.

Kleptomania: Probably another remnant of growing up on the streets and having to fend for himself, Taako just loves to steal things, especially gold. He does have his limits (he won't steal from a bank while they're there on a mission), but if there's something shiny nearby he's inclined to pick it up for himself, since it offers a security that he didn't have. He's also a DND character where looting is common, so that does effect things a little.

General dickery: He's just a jerk sometimes, honestly. Taako is pretty quick-witted when it comes to jokes, especially if he's digging in to people that he's decided he doesn’t like, or if he just wants to mess with them because he enjoys getting a reaction. This likely stems from the whole "keep people at a distance" thing that he's got going on, as he seems to get meaner as people start to get too close, but that doesn't excuse it. He can be brutally honest as part of that, too, which isn't always called for.

skills (optional): He's a very accomplished chef, along with the wizardy, but he wouldn't want to leap straight into employment!

housing (optional): Either communal or shared to make him socialise!

the prologue

The setting of our story is a complicated one. Not one world, but countless worlds filled with countless possibilities. But in the beginning, it started with one: a world where demons ran rampant across the Earth, seducing and eating their way through the human race without care nor consequence. In desperation, they reached out for the God's that once ruled them: and their prayers were answered.

For a price, anyway.

The demons were cast back to Hell and the God's ... stayed. They ruled. They accepted only devotion. For a while, humanity accepted it. Until, of course, they day came when a group simply could not. Caught between a rock and a hard place, they called upon the Devil to set them free from the oppressive reign of the Divine. They gave her a girl and she returned her to the Earth as her own unholy Messiah.

As fate would have it, the girl would come across a boy, cast out by Baldr, burning somewhere in Romania. He would become the first new demon of the new world and the only one allowed to walk by her side.

She probably ended up regretting it, honestly.

chapter two: the young adult romance prelude

Once upon a time there was a little demon with big dreams. For a long while, those dreams mostly consisted of obtaining the Guiness world record for most participants in an orgy. A modest dream. A realistic dream. This did not change when he fell in love, but he found himself able to see beyond the temptations of flesh and booze. He found himself becoming more ambitious and more reckless, and with little to no shame, Petre Dodrescu set his sights on taking the throne of Hell for his own.

In the end, through some hard work, deception and some shady ass deals, he finally did it. All the while kind of encouraged by his sweetheart, though mostly side-eyed and slightly judged by her.

Petre, being the paranoid narcissist that he is, was not always easy to live with. Or easy to love. As such, he did what any loving Satan would do: he asked her to start a family and gave her the gift of not one, but three anti-christs. Louisa was first born, gifted with the most power of her siblings. Her fathers shady dealings before obtaining the throne and given her the surprising gift of not only ending her own world one day, but also being able to travel across the multiverse and ending all of those worlds too. Eventually. Whenever she felt it like it, really.

As a teenager, though, Louisa had no real interest in the inevitable destruction of all things. She travelled, mostly, to see new things. No people. New species. If she concentrated hard, she could anywhere. If she didn't, she often found herself circling around realities where her father existed in one form or another. In one such world, she stumbled upon Caleb and Nicholas Holt. Beautiful, charming twins who ultimately turned out to be huge assholes with god like power. Louisa fell for their charms easily and fell for their power even harder. Convincing them to use their power to travel with her was easy. Finding out that their mother was Petra Dodrescu was not. But, then, the heart wants what the heart wants and what's a little sin among monsters?

chapter three; the flipside

Somewhere out there, there's a dimension where gods are all-powerful tyrants with their very own patches of followers across civilizations. Petra Dodrescu is a tiny girl with no ambitions and when she questions what makes Mr Baldr so great, she becomes a tiny girl on the brink of death as he makes her watch her entire family and town burn to the ground. Saved by the Devil's Messiah, she becomes a nice (she isn't nice) demon (like at all) who goes around saving the world with her partner. Whenever she isn't screwing people. Or eating them.

Then she meets Santiago Holt. A man blessed by a long-forgotten goddess, what should have been an easy kill. It turns into a game of cat-and-mouse in which Petra ends up addicted to his blood. Sex is another bad idea on the menu, and when she realizes she's pregnant, the Devil demotes her back into a human and leaves her on her own. When Petra's attempts to get rid of the babies fail, she crawls back to Santiago for help. A few months later, Caleb and Nicolas Holt are born, and a few weeks after that, Santiago has prophetic dreams of his boys growing up to become incredibly powerful. The only thing that keeps them alive growing up is secrecy - if the Devil or any other deity knew about the twins, they would have been destroyed as quickly as possible - and once they are fully grown, very little can be done to stop them anymore. That's when they start to get bored.

But worry not! Here comes Louisa, the interdimentional traveling anti-Christ, looking for a good time and a pair of cute boys to devour. Things don't quite go her way when she tries it on the twins, although it does lead them to the greatest discovery of their lives: each other! The not so great discovery, on the other hand, is that Louisa's father, aka the Devil of her world, is Petre Dodrescu.

Which doesn't stop them from escalating things and having a child of their own. Diana Holt, a bratty all-powerful monster without the slightest concept of what it's like to respect anything that ever was, is, and will be. And then William and Benjamin Holt, yours truly, the idiot twins.

With their parents' powers combined in varying degrees, the twins travel with their parents and sister to various dimensions and realities. What they see and do in every world is vastly different: sometimes it's a nice, relaxed holiday, sometimes it's total chaos and destruction. Their world is the infinite expanse of the multiverse and they travel to seek out new experiences and satisfy their curiosity for adventure and for humanity. The excitement of the unknown is what keeps them moving.

Unsurprisingly, as soon as they're old enough to wander off, the twins often find themselves exploring worlds without the rest of their family. Prone to a lot less destruction than their older sibling Diana, they still sometimes abuse power to satisfy their curiosity, though they have yet to wreck anything to a significant level because of it. Hopping worlds feels like they're just going out for a run through the family's massive property behind the modest country house, popping back in for dinner when it feels like the day's coming to a close. They're relatively discreet; at least they have been discreet enough to not draw any further attention to the Holt-Dodrescu family. That might change one day, and who knows how that will go.

abilities:
⇄ blood hunger: Benjamin does not require blood and human flesh to survive like his mother does, but consuming it does provide him with vitality and an immense energy boost.

⇄ fire: can create fire and withstand it; Benjamin cannot manipulate fire already created, however and cannot only create fire from his skin. ie: he cannot look an object and set it alight by looking at it, nor can he manipulate your mothers very fancy coal fireplace.

⇄ healing: will heal from virtually anything, is immune to everything, is designed to live forever even without physical form. As of right now he and his family are not aware of this.

⇄ animal hoarder: loves animals, animals love him.

⇄ empathy mind link: can feel almost everything his siblings feel and is able to communicate his own feelings across great distances to his brother, William. He can locate his brother wherever he is simply by using this ability. It is sometimes difficult to differentiate his own feelings from his siblings, though not at a level that might influence their decisions or have his own influenced.

⇄ multiverse travel: the ability to travel between all worlds, though with less precision and deliberation than his parents and sister. While alone and with his brother, it's a more random process; they have less control where they end up. Being with their family negates this and serves to anchor the twins to their parents and sister. This ability is removed for games.

strengths:
⇄ sociable weirdo
Benjamin, at his core, is a sociable creature. He is infinitely curious about people, their lives and their relationships. As such, this usually makes him a great friend -- for however long his interest is held. While he is a careful listen and an empathetic ear, Ben's relationships can often be ... fairly one sided and not long lived. This isn't because he's callous or cruel, it's simply that he invests himself for however long he's in one place. He moves around a lot and when it comes to cutting ties with friends and lovers, he rarely has to think twice about it.

However! Because he moves around a lot, he's seen all manner of people in all manner of forms. He will befriend anyone, whether they are humanoid, beast, flesh eating monster or three headed alien. If they've got good chat, he's there.

⇄ self assured nonsense
Being the super powered, multiverse travelling boy that he is, Benjamin is confident. He is confident, sometimes, to the point of sometimes being almost arrogant. But, he doesn't believe in genuine self-depreciation, even if he might joke about it with buddies or his brother. He knows what he's good at it and he's always more than willing to show off his strengths when possible.

⇄ clear headed approach
Benjamin comes from a family of frivolous creatures who, due to their long lives and incredible power sets, tend to do what they want and end up in odd, sometimes bad, situations. Benjamin and his brother are no different and as such, he's grown up learning that keeping a clear head is the best way forward. The casino they just tried to con millions out of caught them cheating on camera? No panicking here. Mom got drunk and ended up at a sacrificial alter of a church? No problem that problem solving can't solve! In the most impossible situations and the most stressful, Benjamin can keep cool. Possibly, he has learned this great character trait from dealing with his over-emotional and temperamental sister.

weaknesses:
⇄ jealous baby
Although a sociable boy, Benjamin is attached, specifically, to his family. Although they are not always together, they are more often united than they are apart. And while they are all inclined to their own proclivities, sometimes someone just over steps a mark. Gets too comfortable; too close to one of them. Benjamin likes to share his attention out, but he also expects his family's affection every moment of every day. If it happens to fall elsewhere for too long, he is prone to jealousy. Typical teenage tantrum jealousy with passive aggressive comments, the silent treatment and bouts of overplaying Simple Plan to make his feelings known. This, ultimately, is not really a problem as a teenager.

The problem is that he doesn't really seem to be growing out of it.

⇄ boundary crossing pettiness
With great curiosity also comes the capacity for being slightly overbearing. Benjamin is aware of others peoples feelings and sometimes, his friendliness is not also welcomed. This does not necessarily put him off. Pettily, if someone is particularly aggressive or rude about their disinterest, Benjamin (and William) will simply just keep persisting. Keep being friendly. Keep pushing the persons boundaries just to see how long it'll be before they snap in one way or another or until he gets bored and moves on.

⇄ inner asshole
Related to the tail end of above, Benjamin also has a mean streak which is primarily only reserved for the people whom he just ... doesn't click with. (And his sister.) He is no stranger to playing dirty in such cases, or hitting way low below the belt. Both with words and fists.

skills (optional):
⇄ animal charmer - would maybe be useful when dealing with monsters, if they are of a more animal persuasion than a humanoid one.
⇄ heavy lifter - good for all those heavy weapons crates and bulking ration supplies that need carried around etc.

housing (optional): no preference.

strengths vs. weaknesses

MULTIVERSE BOYS
( + ) Having visited many places and met several kinds of people, not all of them human - or even humanoid - William has an open mind about what's not considered normal or real by our standards. Aliens is a funny term - he's as much of an alien to every world as strange beings from outer space would be to us. He won't question the veracity of claims about being a wizard, a monster, or an alternate version of his grandmother. That part is canon, by the way.

( - ) This also means that William can be clueless about some norms. He's used to exploring, questioning, which often makes people uncomfortable (because that's none of your business, creep). His family has a bad history with not giving people much space once their interest - be it positive or negative - is sparked. The twins have yet to be openly harmful about it, unlike their sister Diana, but they're still spoiled brats who will bully you into being their friend when they want to be.

WITH FRIENDS LIKE THESE
( + ) The twins aren't known for taking situations very seriously, no doubt due to a near-godemode status where they've never known what it's like to be in real danger. Their cheerfulness and banter can be infectious or uncomfortable, depending on the other character's predisposition. They can be the antithesis of their sister Diana in that they refuse to sulk or kick around when they can, instead, discard any situation that's just unimportant anyway.

( - ) This kind of charisma and carefree attitude often draws people in, but is known to create hollow relationships, too. The twins are very centered on each other and their family, and being so used to hop from world to world means they've never formed lasting bonds with those unrelated to them. They might not necessarily acknowledge it out loud, but everyone they meet, everyone they consider a friend or lover, is replaceable. It's very doubtful that they will grow significantly attached.

BRO, I DON'T EVEN LIFT
( - ) Despite all their superpowers, whenever he's facing a fight, William does not have knowledge in any martial arts and relies purely on strength and ability to get out of many situations alive; if there's any way to overpower him with an entrapment or alternative superpowers, he's pretty much doomed. In addition to that, due to being immune to poison and disease, William is unaware of any limitations of his body. There are a number of worlds and powers the twins still haven't yet faced and wouldn't know what to do about. They're invulnerable, but not invincible, not by any means. So good luck with that, Will.

character information
name: Princess Celestia
canon: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
canon point: Post S4E2: Princess Twilight Sparkle (Part 2)
age: 2100 (best guess)

(canon) background: Wiki magic ensues

abilities: Obviously, Celestia is a pony, with all the attending benefits (such as general physical superiority to a human) and drawbacks (no hands).

As an alicorn, Celestia has the strengths of all three types of ponies:

-Earth pony strength and sensitivity to animals and nature. These are particularly ill-defined in the show, but for Celestia's purpose, she is basically good with animals in general and a capable steward of Equestria.

-Pegasus wings. Celestia can manipulate the weather, most explicitly by moving clouds by direct physical contact, and causing them to discharge their contents by physical manipulation. Clouds are effectively semi-solid to her; she could 'swim' through them, or lie on them to sleep. Pony flight allows for three-dimensional movement without any actual regard for aerodynamics, and unlimited hovering.

-Unicorn magic: Celestia is the most accomplished spellcaster in Equestria, having had hundreds upon hundreds of years to practice. Unicorn magic is extraordinarily diverse, ranging from the most basic telekinesis, to transformation spells (a frog to an orange), blasts of magical energy, conjuration of mustaches, animation of inanimate objects... the list goes on. The show has... very confusing limits on magic -- the aforementioned spell of turning a frog into a living and undistressed half-frog, half-orange hybrid is dramatically easier and less complicated than a spell to change a pony's biological sex -- but in general Celestia is capable of a very wide and powerful array of complex magical effects.

-Celestia body control: On a specific note, Celestia has the magical power and talent necessary to raise and lower the sun (and the moon, if necessary). This is normally a power I list for removal and I have no problems with her being unable to do it here.

As a former wielder of the Elements of Harmony, she can never use them again.

strengths:
Serene Wisdom: Celestia is INCREDIBLY wise, patient, kind, and helpful. She is very difficult to ruffle or upset normally.
A Sense of Humor: Celestia is unafraid to laugh at herself, and is willing to break the ice with a little joke -- or indirectly sabotage a boring dance and giggle about it later.
The Good Queen: Celestia is a very good ruler, focused on the happiness and growth of her ponies... but she'll protect them with everything she has.

weaknesses:
Always On Display: After centuries of rule, Celestia almost always has her Princess face on. She's regarded as a legend instead of a pony by her subjects. She's a very different pony when she's not 'on', but she rarely gets the chance.
Guilt: Celestia had to banish her own sister to the moon and do her job for a thousand years. She blames herself for failing, and likely always will.
Alone: It's better with more alicorns around, but even so, no one has ever lived Celestia's life or even close to it, and no one can really understand it.

skills (optional): Weather control, telekinesis, animal care
housing (optional): Seriously do they even have a place for a pony?

character information
name: Stephen Vincent Strange
canon: Marvel 616
canon point: Immediately following the Empirikul’s assault on the Sanctum Sanctorum when he and his fellow mystics were captured.
age: Looks to be in his mid 40’s, if going by linear time from his birth to present he’d be considered 86. However due to time-related shenanigans that he has no recollection of his actual age is much older by at least 5,000 years or more.

(canon) background: Wiki
(original) world: N/A

abilities: While at this canon point Stephen’s abilities have been extremely limited due to the destruction of so much of Earth’s magic, the man is still a very skilled mystic, able to take on threats even in this reduced state. He uses what he can, enchanted weapons and artifacts, and still has a few smaller spells available to him. In a place with magical energy to tap into, he has the ability and know-how to start creating new spells. He seems to still have the ability to pull some items out of nothing, such as weapons, also retains his ability to view and travel through the astral plane.

strengths:
Intelligence: One thing that has always been true about Stephen is that he’s wickedly bright. Give him a problem and he’ll find several different ways to solve it, at least two impossible ones, which he’ll certainly figure out a way to pull off. He’s learned over the years how to use his intelligence as a weapon in and of itself, proving it many times that even when unable to access magic, he can still solve a problem with wits and words. In fact sometimes he prefers it, though whether that’s a question of self-control or challenging himself depends on the situation.
Morality: For all Stephen is a prickly asshole, he has a distinct sense of right and wrong that he is especially stubborn about keeping himself in the bounds of, as well as a responsibility in how he uses his powers. Much of it is derived from what was expected of him as a surgeon, explaining his dislike of taking a life even when it came to enemies. To protect those he considered under his care, to protect innocents. Even in the middle of a fight he feels a duty as a doctor to stop and assist the injured however he can.
Stubborn: Stephen is stubborn enough to simply batter his way through challenges that should be beyond his skill to handle, to the point where he is only still going because nothing is enough to make him stop. It means that he often is able to handle threats that otherwise should be able to make quick work of him simply on account of his unwillingness to simply lay down and die. And while he may not have the nicest way of it, it means he’s very good at encouraging others to continue on as well when he finds he has need to.

weaknesses:
Pride: He’s the best at what he does, typically the smartest man in the room at any given time, and well aware of it. This makes it difficult for him to work with others, to put his trust in anyone. It can also make him even more self-destructive than normal, in attempts to take down threats that are far beyond what he can handle alone. It means when he fails that he feels it keenly- in his mind he should have been better able to handle the situation rather than making whatever perceived mistake allowed things to spiral out of control.
Stubborn: This trait can cause Stephen to follow a line of inquiry or a plan to a point that it becomes frankly self-destructive. It often manifests in his sense of duty, causing him to be more reckless, take bigger risks and endure trauma that might otherwise be avoided if he gave even a little on his stance, his belief in his own responsibility for the magical threats that crop up around him. It makes him intractable and at his worst, willing to go to some frankly unpleasant ends to see things through, no matter what anyone around him may think.
Temper: While he’s gotten better at controlling it, Stephen still has a vicious temper, and when roused it can at times eclipse the better person he tries to be. It tends to come out as lashing out verbally, becoming an even bigger asshole as if to blind others to whatever might have caused him to become upset in the first place, to hide the chinks in his proverbial armor. If pushed far enough he isn’t afraid to lash out physically as well for all that tends not to end well for him.

skills (optional): Doctor Strange has a variety of other skills aside from magic, such as his knowledge and skill with neurosurgery. While he cannot perform that surgery any more, he could offer advice and instruction to another doctor, and he can still perform other medical duties where his hands might not be such a liability, such as the duties of a field medic. While he might not be physically as strong as others due to the intense toll magic takes on him, he’s surprisingly athletic and thanks to Wong’s tutelage is a fair martial artist. He’s also at least conversationally fluent as well as able to read in a variety of languages including quite a few ‘dead’ languages from his continued mystical studies.

housing (optional): The closer he gets put to Tony Stark the more exasperated he’ll be, and the more I’ll laugh about it.

Honestly it’s not like I’m asking too much of you. This is what you were made to do!

[Stephen was more focused on the black cloak sitting around his shoulders than the phone that had fallen out of his pocket, or that it was even on in the first place. Plucking up the edge of the cloak, frowning at the silvery border with brows furrowing.]

And it’s a simple enough thing, you’re supposed to offer protection, I mean that is what you’re named fo- [ At the word ‘protection’, it seemed the cloak was a little over-eager to prove itself, hem billowing out and around him suddenly. Stephen started a bit at the suddenness, but smiled faintly.

Maybe this would work out.]

That wasn’t so hard now was it? [He barely was able to finish talking before the cloak shifted again, because apparently in it’s mind Stephen wasn’t protected enough, black fabric wrapping around him like a demented hug.

He cursed, muffled but loud , stumbling back and tripping over the edge of the rug, landing on his backside with a loud thud. It took a few moments of struggle before he could work a hand free enough to pull cloth away from his face, and good god but if looks could kill that cloak would be a bare cinder.]

I’m repurposing you into dish rags.

canon: Magic: the Gathering
canon point: End of Aether Revolt’s storyline
age: 24

(canon) background: Canon blurb | Fandom Wiki

abilities: Chandra is a planeswalker, meaning she has the innate ability to move from plane to plane, and world to world, without much fanfare or trouble. ...or did, cause that sorta power would be a problem in a game like this.

So let’s focus on Chandra’s other claim to fame, she’s a pyromancer. Chandra molds mana into fire. Living fire, big fire, small fire, just plain heat. Chandra’s fairly powerful but usually lacks in both fine control and staying power. She doesn’t know how to, um, reserve some energy for later. She’ll burn fast, hot, and then she’s out. She can push a little harder if the person she’s fighting ticks her off, or threatens someone she cares about, because fire magic and ‘emotional state’ go hand in hand.

She also knows how to throw punches… but not in a really refined well taught way? More in a ‘she was that small child who picked fights with everyone’ way. She’s also versed in parkour (not with any training, but in a ‘she knows how to run through cities that occasionally rearrange itself and forests/mountains that fly and occasionally try to kill you’ way).

Her armor is meant to help amplify and hone her fire magic, and not get melted, burned, or destroyed by all the fire she plays with. But is otherwise... fairly basic. Her goggles do nothing.
strengths:
●● Improvisation - Chandra’s mind is constantly moving, figuring out how to do what she wants with what she has. Rather than thinking about what she’s missing or what she wants. She has a creative artistic mind… just her arts are not seated in the way of her home plane. Her arts generally come to fire and movement, not tinkering and machines.
●● Passion - Chandra doesn’t feel things by half, she is all the way in with whatever she’s doing. If she’s fighting the guy who killed her dad, or watching goblins blow up flying machines, she is completely emotionally invested in what she’s doing. This has a natural downside I’ll get to, but the upside is that she gives it her all, or tries to.
●● Earnest - There’s an approachability to Chandra, she isn’t really sure that it matters (in spite of repeated attempts to teach her yes it matters). With her passion she just speaks from her heart, no strings, no polite game playing, just who she is front and center. It may bring her off as naive or childish, but that is why she was named Abbot of Keral Keep, why she was the voice of the revolution in Kaladesh. Because that earnest nature is very alluring to people worried about being mislead or cheated.
weaknesses:
●● Short Tempered - Chandra doesn’t have much filter between ‘what she feels’ and ‘sharing that with the world’ so her fuse is rather short, and her anger is… well, she’s a firebomb. No, literally, if she’s angry her hair bursts into flames and then usually other things she touches because she has no impulse control going on in there. And this has been exploited, repeatedly, by bullying her into poor choices.
●● Untempered - Chandra’s gifts are natural, she plays into her strengths and those strengths are just naturally good. However she lacks in patience and attention to things she doesn’t like, so she has issues learning new things. Or honing her skills with practice and refinement. The previous Abbot found it endearing, but he also found ways to bypass Chandra’s lack of attention, but most teachers do not have the patience (or ability to survive being set on fire) to really get past Chandra’s… limits.
●● Anarchy - Chandra has a healthy dislike for authority. On top of that she has a distrust of just ‘doing as she is told.’ She prefers a reason why, a good one. Or at the very least the time and effort to build a trust and respect for one another, then being told what to do. You would have her issues if someone burned a village to the ground, blamed you for it, killed your dad, then sentenced you to be executed, at age twelve. Chandra’s parents were renegades who fought a corrupt government, she learned to handle authority from them. Generally if anyone starts trying to throw their weight around Chandra’s first instinct is to punch them in the face.

skills (optional):
housing (optional): Probably better for most people if she is in shared. She’s loud, messy, and refuses to sleep normal hours. Best only one person has to deal with her.

*The first thing you might notice is that Chandra has four stray cats curled up around her. Where did they come from? Why are they here? What’s going on? Not really important.*

I just wanna be really clear on this, none of you know what a planeswalker is? Like, not even a little, and most of you have never ever left your own world for a different one? And you’re sure these devices aren’t running on aether. You’re all sure! Really really sure!?

*Someone jumped up so fast she scared off all the stray cats. That happens. A lot.*

Cause I’ve been trying to leave, go home, go see my mom again and I’ve been stuck here! On this one plane, it sucks! ...I guess it wouldn’t suck if I were somewhere with friends. If Jace were here he’d be all hunched over a pile of books and notes figuring this out. And Nissa would just ask this place why we can’t leave. And Liliana would… make a bunch of zombies, I guess…

The point is you’re all sure you don’t know what Planeswalking is?

prose/action sample:
Chandra eyed the small rodent thing. It wasn’t an animal she’d ever seen before, but that wasn’t all that surprising. The blind eternities were, well, eternal. Or something. Still, the creature puffed up and a bunch of fire jets burst from its back. Chandra grinned at it. “You’re way cuter than the rats we had in the temple. But I can do that too.”

Chandra’s hair, and shoulders, burst into flames. This seemed to take the small fire creature by surprise. Apparently it thought it was unique in its ability to create flames. Chandra fell back on her butt, Nissa said that small creatures aren’t too keen on towering over them. She held out a hand, letting her flames die down, hoping she’d made a new friend. Wouldn’t that be cool, coming home with her own pet whatever-this-is. Just like Jace with his books, Nissa with her… earth? And better than Liliana’s zombies. This guy didn’t smell bad. It was kinda like charcoal and dry dirt? She guessed? Her nose wasn’t that good. The creature tilted its head and skittered off.

“Wait, come back!” She thought this was going a lot better than most of her attempts to make friends. It took a few moments for her to hear what spooked the small rodent. Felt, more like. The ground was shaking. “Crap.” Whatever that herd was, it was a lot of them and they were herding toward her. Which was a very pressing concern. The town behind her, also in the way of this herd of whatever-those-are, was honestly a bigger concern. Towns couldn’t get out of the way of herds with the same speed as she could. Chandra quickly set to protecting the town.

First she made a firewall at the edge of the town several yards behind her. Then she created a second wall of flames curving toward the woods. Her hope was that the first wall would spook them, and the second wall would help lead them towards anywhere but the town. She was mostly right, most of the beasts followed her path, into the forest and away from the flames and the town. Except one of the beasts at the front, who went through the first wall of flames, freaked out, ran through the second wall of flames and crashed through a window of a shop at the edge of town.

It sold cheese.

“...I’m going to get in so much trouble for that…” It was hardly even her fault! Nobody else was trying to keep these things from stomping through the town.

character information
name: Carl Grimes
canon: The Walking Dead
canon point: 7x07 - after spending the day with his new frenemy.
age: 14 thereabouts, maybe 15.

(canon) background: link
(original) world: n/a

abilities:
Gunmanship - He has basic knowledge of firearm maintenance and safety, as well as moderate to considerable aim for someone his age given his experience shooting walkers (aka zombies). Since losing an eye though, the change in his depth perception has put him back a little, but it's nothing he hasn't been teaching himself to adjust to by practicing or throwing darts when he can.

Melee Weapons - At some point, he picked up how to handle all size types and the basic idea of how to use them to defend himself by watching other people. His skill in this area is only moderate considering his size and physical strength.

Farmhand Experience - He is capable of doing simple tasks from planting seed to feeding or grooming livestock.

Making Runs (Scavenging) - He knows how to safely clear an area of walkers when necessary and search places from top to bottom for supplies.

And he knows other less lethal, basic life skills such as trapping wild game, building fires, cooking out of cans or in the kitchen, and driving...probably. He didn't crash the car the first time he got behind the wheel or anything. Nope. Not even if it "was" technically to stop a walker from eating his friend.

strengths:
Adaptable - Some may say that he still young enough to learn and change with the way the world changes, and that's true, but it has as much to do with Carl's strength of character and willingness and ability to quickly learn. He realizes quite early on in the world's transition into the apocalypse that he can't just be a kid anymore and turns away from childish things to show the adults he can be one of them. It's through the hardships he experiences over two or so years that he pushes himself to learn everything he can to stand on his feet.

Good Intentions - Carl's most defining trait is his willingness to help people. Even though his world has turned upside down, he manages to keep a moral compass that steers him to do whatever will be most beneficial for his friends no matter the cost. If there's medicine they need, he'll go off on his own to get it. If a tyrant is bullying them for half their supplies, he'll attempt to assassinate the man for their sake no matter what happens to him. At the end of the day, he cares about his friends and acts on what he perceives their best interests are. He won't stand there and watch when there's something he can do.

Honest - Carl is honest, straight forward even, with himself and others. He always says what he is thinking, does what he believes he should do, and tells it like he sees it. Telling the truth is important to him, not only because it's the right thing to do but because people deserve the truth to make up their own minds. He knows it's better not to spare people from the truth even if it will only hurt them.

weaknesses:
Impulsive - The downside to his good intentions come in the form of his carelessness to think things over for himself. Carl can be rather blind to his own safety when he's thinking about the collective good of others and will impulsively react to any situation he sees in front of him. This trait has on the occasion put him at risk of getting in harms way and even once gotten himself to fall into the hands of the enemy, though he's been really lucky to skate by with his life so far.

Teenage Temper - Like any teenager, the kid is at that awkward stage where his temper can spill out for any reason. Granted his life is much harder than average and his temper only really rises to feelings of helplessness or loss or when there's something he wholeheartedly disagrees with. He's been shown to take his frustrations out on his own father with the cold shoulder when he disagreed with him or gotten argumentative and thrown comments at him when he thought they lost his baby sister. Once he loses his temper, it's hard for him to cool down until he's had some time to himself.

Bossy - We know he cares his people and will do anything to protect them, but that doesn't mean he never crosses the line. His honesty and good intentions can sometimes turn into a mixture that causes him to come across as bossy. This is usually when he is with people his age. He sees himself as the one that should protect them. So if he thinks they shouldn't get involved in something, he will tell them that straight to their face, and try to block them if need be. He has gone so far to lock a friend in a closet even.

skills (optional): same as his abilities.
housing (optional): feel free to place him anywhere to start.
